Hayley Orantia is American actress, musician and singer. The majority of people recognize her as Erica Goldberg, from the television comedy 'The Goldbergs. But, she is primarily a musician. According to her, music is the first thing that interests her. It is something she is experimenting with since she was nine years old. At 12 years old, her music began to take more serious form and she started training professionally. In the age of 13, she began making music. Her debut album at 14 years old. From then on she's not ever looked back. Orrantia is a native of America who has Hispanic origins. While she grew up with exclusively English and was never in Mexico she is very satisfied with her Hispanic roots. To keep the tradition, she's studied Spanish and created songs using the language. A song she has created is called "Hasta Verte," which she recorded in Spanish. Orrantia auditioned for The X Factor in 2011. Orrantia got selected out of a YouTube video that she submitted and got four "yes" no votes by judges during the live audition phase held in Seattle, Washington. She initially auditioned in the show "Hollywood Week" as a single artist. However, three female singers along with her were grouped together to perform for the remaining songs. They were eliminated in the fifth week in the live performances.
