Ani Difranco
Angela Maria Ani DiFranco (born Angela Maria Ani DiFranco) is an American and Canadian artist and singer. Her catalog includes more than twenty albums. Her music is categorized as alternative rock, folk rock, but it also has hints of jazz and hip-hop. Ani Difranco has been deemed to be a feminist hero and a Grammy award winner. In the beginning, as one of the early female musicians in the 1990s, DiFranco founded her own record label. DiFranco was born on September 23, 1970 in Buffalo, New York. She is the daughter of Elizabeth (Ross), who came across Dante Americo DiFranco while studying at Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
