Selena Gomez is an internationally known actress and singer. Disney's Wizards of Waverly Place, one of the most prestigious projects in which she participated and achieved the greatest successes, is her own project. Her real name is Selena Marie Gomez. Selena Marie Gomez was born in the city of Grand Prairie in Texas on July 22nd the 22nd of July, 1992. Amanda Cornett is her mother and Ricardo Gomez is her father. She was just 16 when Selena became a mother. Selena got her first showbiz job at age 9 when she played Gianna in Barney and her Friends. She became one of those kids who played with the world's best-known reptile, the purple anthropomorphic dinosaur. Selena worked on several episodes in season 7 and 8 from 2001 between 2001 and 2003. Selena Gomez wasn't the sole singer to work on Barney & His Friends between 2001 and the year 2003. Demi Lorvato joined the team also. After leaving the series Selena Gomez auditioned for several roles on other shows and films but was not particularly successful. Selena Gomez got a role in the role of Julie as Julie in Walker Texas Ranger Trial by Fire and also appeared as a character in Mini Spies 3 in 2003. Also, she was cast in the role of Emily Grace Garcia, a person she wrote as a musical in 2006's Brain Zapped.
