Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actress, activist for animals and author who won several prizes. The actress has won praise for her roles in films such as Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) as well as The Getaway, (1972). Born and raised in a family of artists living in New York she wished to be a part of the arts. She began as a photo assistant, before progressing to acting and modeling. Her name was highlighted in two of her films and was awarded the Golden Globe Award for Most Promising newcomer. MacGraw's 1970 film Love Story proved a major hit and fetched her worldwide fame along with the Academy Award' nomination and an Academy Award nomination and a Golden Globe award. In just three years, MacGraw was ranked as the top female box office participant in the entire world. Her footprints, handwritten in 1972 and autograph were engraved at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, as well as other movies. Moving Pictures is her autobiography, published in 1991. MacGraw married three people.
